The program called Senate Bill 140/ Post Secondary Enrollment Options has some very important deadlines and requirements: For YSU - Students entering the 9th or 10th grade must have a 3.5 GPA and have an ACT score of 28 or SAT of 1260. Students entering the 11th or 12th grades must have a 3.3 GPA and an ACT of 23 or SAT of 1070. The last time a student can take an ACT or SAT is FEBRUARY of the year preceeding application. A Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting will be held on conference night in Feb. (Feb. 17, 2004) at 6:00 pm in the upper cafeteria. Students must apply through the Guidance Office by March 18, 2004. Mrs. Shears is in charge of ALL SB 140 applicants. See her for details and forms. YSU will set an English Placement Test date probably in April as another criteria for admission into the program. |
